SUBSTANCE: present group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to neurology, and concerns treating degenerated organs in pathological states, particularly neurodegenerative diseases. That is ensured by administering a therapeutic agent containing phenotypically stably differentiating or differentiated GFAP-positive cells having signs of differentiation opposite to astrocytes in relation to at least one expressing gene.
EFFECT: invention provides effective treatment of neurodegenerative diseases by expression by the above cells of neuron-specific proteins possessing the detoxification action and improving neurotransmission.
