SUBSTANCE: there is offered enriched cell population where GABA-ergic neurons are produced by differentiation of the population of pluripotent stem cells, enriched with nestin-positive cells. The high yield of GABA-ergic neurons is caused by selection of nestin-positive cells, higher content (enrichment) of nestin-positive cells, and then further differentiation with cytosine-β-d-arabinofuranoside (Ara-C).
EFFECT: invention can be used as a source for cellular replacement therapy in neurodegenerative disorders and neural diseases.
