FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: hot-wire flow meter accommodates light source, heat sensitive element composed by thermistor structure with external electric outputs and plate making a reflection surface, all being sitter serially on one optical axis. Said plate is arranged behind said thermistor structure. Plate centre is aligned with optical axis while plate height is larger than heat sensitive element cross-section. Besides, invention covers the method of heating of hot-wire flow meter thermistor structure opposite which heat flow source is created at shadow side.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of obtained data.
