SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compressor industry. A piston compressor comprises at least one cylinder (01) with a piston (02) and a piston rod (03) and cylinder side (04) set on the side of a cover as well as cylinder side (05) set on the side of a crank. Suction side of the cylinder side (04) set on the side of a cover is connected to the cylinder side (05) set on the side of a crank. Suction pipeline (07) is connected to the suction side and discharge pipeline (08) is connected to the discharge side set on the side of the cover of the cylinder side (04).
EFFECT: due to the regulation of preliminary compression performed on the crank side, the amount of compressed gas being delivered is optimised and simultaneously the compression heat is reduced due to the reduction of step pressure ratio.
