FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to surgery and traumatology, and aims at treating the locomotor system. An argon plasma flame is used intraoperatively as an electrophysical exposure on open bones, a periosteum and surrounding tissues. According to an argon plasma ablation (APA) procedure, the flame is used to treat the collected bone elements of the fracture region, periosteum, connective elements and surrounding tissues. The argon plasma ablation of the fracture regions is generated by PHOTEK EA 141 high-frequency electrosurgical apparatus equipped with an APA electrode at output power 35-75 W and argon consumption 4-8 l/min in the SPRAY mode. The treatment process makes 1 to 5 minutes, and a distance from an electrode edge to the treated surface is kept within the range of 5-15 mm. A neutral electrode of the electrosurgical apparatus in treating the fractures in animals is placed below the animal's body with impregnating the electrode in normal saline to provide a dense electrical contact to the animal's body.
EFFECT: by applying argon plasma exposure on the operative exposure, periosteum and open bones, method enables reducing the process and length of treating fractures.
