SUBSTANCE: overall, the present invention relates to a module for use in an electrophotographic image forming device and particularly to a bearing element for supporting while allowing rotation of a photoconducting drum in said module. The disclosed group of inventions includes a module for use in an image forming device, having a photoconducting drum, as well as a bearing element for supporting while allowing rotation of the photoconducting drum, having a centre shaft, according to one version includes a body having a first side, a second side and a peripheral surface between the first and second sides. A centre opening passes through the body for reception while allowing rotation of the end part of the centre shaft and position referencing of the external surface of the photoconducting drum to the centre axis of said centre opening. A stop lug runs from the body in a non-radial direction. The stop lug has a mounting surface for receiving an additional component which is position-referenced to said centre axis. The module for use in an image forming device according to one version includes a photoconducting drum having a centre shaft and a pair of substantially identical bearing elements mounted at opposite ends of the photoconducting drum. The bearing elements are moved in parallel from each other and are identically aligned in space.

EFFECT: structure is considerably less susceptible to periodically varying alignment error of superimposed colours when printing and is considerably less susceptible to misalignment of the photoelectric drum, owing to which electronic correction is not required.
