FIELD: physics, computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of processing electronic presentations. The method comprises inserting a multimedia object into an electronic presentation; selecting said object in the electronic presentation; displaying a first user interface control element on the multimedia object; displaying a second user interface control element in the command area of the electronic presentation; altering the multimedia object according to the command received from the first and second user interface control elements. When altering the multimedia object, the method includes determining if said object contains a video clip, and if so, receiving a video clip frame selection, converting the video clip frame into an image and displaying as a background frame on a slide in the electronic presentation; displaying the electronic presentation containing the altered multimedia object.
EFFECT: high efficiency of working with multimedia objects in electronic presentations.
