FIELD: electrical communication engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to techniques for controlling components associated with room for meeting, using a mobile telephone. Gateway is configured to receive a command from a mobile telephone. Upon receiving command, gateway determines whether command is a room command or a presentation command. If command is a room command, gateway causes room component to respond to room component. If command received is a presentation command, gateway causes presentation component to respond to presentation command. User may input commands to mobile telephone by making gestures with or on a screen of mobile telephone, by utilising telephone keys of mobile telephone, or by interacting with user interface controls displayed on mobile telephone.
EFFECT: controlling room-associated components using a mobile telephone.
