FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for transformation and restoration of metal friction surfaces, which is prepared in the form of a fine powder, which includes chrysotile, silicon carbide and titanium and copper oxides, the composition further including talc and thermally expanded graphite which contains not less than 7% of elements present in natural graphite, with the following ratio of components, wt %: talc Mg3Si4O10(OH)2 6-8; thermally expanded graphite 8-12; SiC 6-8; TiO2 2-4; CuO 2-4; chrysotile Mg6Si4O10(OH)8 - the balance. The present invention also relates to a method of producing the composition, which includes preparing fine powder by grinding starting components to particle size of not more than 5 mcm.
EFFECT: obtaining a composition for transformation and restoration of metal friction surfaces, which reduces the frictional coefficient and improves heat resistance of the servovite film, which improves longevity and wear resistance of friction assemblies of mechanisms and machines.
