FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a housing for an optical fibre assembly. The apparatus includes upper and lower parts of the housing, upper and lower spaces made of gel sealing material. Each spacer is inserted into a groove located on the upper and lower parts of the housing. One of the spacers is fastened by a clamping device which is elastically fastened on one of said parts of the housing by a spring-loaded element. The other part of said housing and/or said clamping device has a supporting surface for the corresponding spacer. The supporting surfaces interact with the gel sealing material such that the sealing material is forced to flow in the sealing area.
EFFECT: high insulation.
