SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an insert for a fibre-optic assembly. The insert is provided for directing part of an optical cable and is placed in the housing of a fibre-optic assembly. Said part of the optical cable has a bare area on which the sheath is partially removed. The insert includes optical cable guides, a depression surrounding a bare fibre-optic element and shape adjustment means. Said shape adjustment means rest on the surface of said sheath on the bare area.
EFFECT: reliable support of the optical cable, which prevents axial and rotary movement thereof.
