FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to electrical potential sensors used in a catheter ablation procedure. The catheter comprises a rod having electrodes measuring the electrical potential, a metal portion 2 mm - 5 mm long and an opening extending longitudinally through the rod from a proximal end to a distal end. A metal wire is inserted through the opening and connected to the metal portion at the distal end. The electrodes measuring the electrical potential are connected to electrode conductors for measuring the electrical potential having proximal ends connected to a terminal of the apparatus for measuring the electrical potential. The proximal end of the metal wire has no electrical connection and is electrically insulated. A balloon-ended ablation catheter system additionally comprises the balloon-ended ablation catheter having an opening extending longitudinally through it from the proximal end to the distal end. The catheter measuring the electrical potential is inserted through the opening of the balloon-ended ablation catheter.
EFFECT: using the invention enables preventing the excessive tissue catheterisation and reducing a load on doctors and patients.
