FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: general inhalation anaesthesia is performed in a child. The patient is anaesthetised by inhaling sevoflurane in oxygen or a mixture of oxygen and nitrogen oxide in the concentration of ≥8% sevoflurane. Maintaining motor non-responsiveness to injections is ensured by using sevofluran in the concentration of 0.5-3.0% with a dose individually specified by an anaesthesiologist. That is followed by performing the ultrasonic assessment of a target muscle depth, selecting a region having the lowest echogenic density of a muscle tissue, administering botulinum A toxin (BAT) into the selected point with exercising the real-time control of its muscular distribution.
EFFECT: possibility of BAT injection into the selected optimum point in the given category of patients of all possible ages in any psychoemotional state.
