FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: using the means installed in an airspace carrier, synchronous images are obtained in the ultraviolet and near infrared regions of the reflected light flux and the intrinsic upward radiation of the underlying surface in the range of 2-3 mcm. Tie images are linked to the coordinates of the positioning system GLONASS. Synthesized matrices are formed from the pixel-by-pixel ratios of the images of the reflected light flux. The contours of the impact zones are selected by software calculation of the gradient of the intensity function of the synthesized matrices. Inside the selected contours, the fractal dimensions of the intensity functions, the area of the sites and the humidity of the above-ground cover are calculated from the parameters of the signal of the intrinsic upward radiation. Based on the obtained data, the degradation of the identified sites is calculated and its dynamics are monitored on a long time observation lag.

EFFECT: reliable detection of soil digression sites.
