FIELD: oil-and-gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to reduction of metal oxides (3) to metalised material via contact with hot gaseous reducing agent. The latter is produced by catalytic reforming of the mix of gas containing carbon dioxide or steam (CO2, H2O, respectively), with gaseous hydrocarbons. Combustible gas for burners (8a, 8b, 8c) feeding heat for reforming endothermic process conversion is partially produced from partial amount of top smoke formed at reduction of metal oxides (3) to metalised material. Note here that partial amount of top smoke is subjected to dedusting before use as a combustible gas and fed to CO conversion process while converted gas resulted from CO conversion is subjected to processing for removal of CO2.
EFFECT: elimination of carbon dioxide from combustion gaseous products.
