METHOD AND DEVICE OF PRODUCING HYDROGEN Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC C25B1/04 C25B9/00

Abstract RU 2532561 C2

FIELD: energy industry.

SUBSTANCE: in the electrolysis unit (1) the power is supplied to the heat exchanger-anode (3) and cathode (4) made of activated alumina. The anode (3) of the electrolysis unit (1) is made in the form of a spirally curved hollow tube for circulation of the coolant. The hydrogen obtained as a result of electrolysis is supplied to hydrogen storage and heat extraction is carried out, which is generated in the process of electrolysis. The energy for electrolysis is supplied from the renewable sources of energy in the pulse mode, and heat extraction is carried out by heating and pumping the coolant in the hollow heat-exchanger-anode (3). The activation of the cathode (4) is carried out by pulse U-shaped electric current in the electrolyte (2) of the electrolysis unit (1), which is used as sea water.

EFFECT: invention enables to improve the efficiency of hydrogen production and to reduce the weight and dimensions of the electrolysis unit.
