FIELD: physical and chemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to physical and chemical processes for obtaining thermal energy, hydrogen and oxygen during electrolysis of water. Multielectrode type device for obtaining thermal energy of hydrogen and oxygen comprises a housing made of dielectric material, an interelectrode chamber, inlet and outlet nozzles for flow of alkaline solution, anode connected to positive pole of power supply, and a cathode equipped with a dielectric cathode holder, connected to the negative pole of the power supply, the cylindrical housing is equipped with removable cathode and anode side covers, in each of which there are 8 hollow cylindrical electrodes equipped with cylindrical dielectric holders, with possibility of interelectrode distance adjustment from 20 to 40 mm and change of number of electrode pairs from 2 to 8, anodes and cathodes are arranged symmetrically relative to each other; at that, cathodes are made of bronze, anodes are made of stainless steel.
EFFECT: increased stability of the technological process and energy parameters of the device, as well as the possibility of adjusting the device to control power by changing the interelectrode space and the number of electrodes.
