FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed lathe is intended for turning axially symmetric billets and comprises front and rear wheel heads, bed with guides, crosswise and lengthwise carriages and self-centring rests with revolving clamp rollers. To expand turning performances and up turning precision, extra minor bed is rigidly secured at aforesaid bed and comprises supports and dovetail-shape guides with gap adjustment wedge mechanism that incorporate transverse carriages with stepping drives.
EFFECT: self-centring rests mounted at oscillating loop formation zones of machined billet.
