FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to making medical equipment and can be used in sharpening of microscissors for a precision dissection of vascular soft tissues. The method for grinding involves mechanical rough grinding of a cutting edge of the microscissors blank to leave the width of 100 mcm. The blank is exposed to a low-temperature plasma in a working chamber of a high-frequency capacitive discharge plasma unit at the working pressure of 26.6 Pa, ion power 2000-3000 eV in the plasma-supporting argon medium for 50 minutes. The plasma-supporting gas is supplied at a rate of 0.04 g/s.
EFFECT: reducing width, increasing hardness and wear resistance of the cutting edge of the microscissors that reduces the number of injuries and the force applied to cut the soft tissues.
