FIELD: technological processes, casting.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of metal plastic working and may be used in blacksmith workshops of metallurgical or machine building plants in manufacturing of hollow parts. Die forming of part is carried out in three stages. At the first stage a boss is formed near billet end by means of its setting by drive puncheon at burnisher. At the same time in zone of billet, which is adjacent to burnisher, a step of larger diametre is created. At the second stage, an orifice is shaped from billet with boss by drive puncheon. Simultaneously an axial force is applied to shaped orifice in zone of its larger diametre through container with stepped hole, in the same direction as of displacement of drive puncheon. Dimensional diametral size of shaped orifice is limited with internal surface of larger step of container hole. At the third stage part is pressed out of orifice by joint displacement of drive puncheon and container. Pressing is done into axisymmetric stream produced by surfaces of fixed burnisher and larger step of container hole. Diametral size of billet prior to die forming and of produced part are related by given ratio.
EFFECT: improved quality of die forming.
