FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to production of plant growth and development stimulators. The method of producing a protein plant growth and development stimulator includes treating cow split leather with hydrochloric acid and washing with running water until achieving pH (6.5±0.5). Further, the split leather is treated with hot water for 1-1.5 hours at 95-98°C and water duty of 1:1. The solid fraction is separated, homogenised and combined with the liquid fraction to obtain a suspension which is hydrolysed with hydrochloric acid with concentration of 0.012-0.025% at 130-150°C and water duty of 1:(1.5-2) for 4-6 hours. A collagen hydrolysate of the split leather is obtained. The obtained solution is dried to obtain a powdered plant growth and development stimulator.

EFFECT: present method enables to obtain a cheap and effective plant growth and development stimulator.
