FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes performing parallel excavations along the layer, cutting of removed blocks by means of connecting opposite faces of said excavations, and their handling by small excavations, for aeration of removal field fresh air is delivered with following taking away of output flow. Removal field is prepared in two blocks with space between them along separation block, and which are connected by opposite faces flanks connection. Separation block removal is performed concurrently with handling of removal field, and its preparation for removal is performed with advance relatively to field handling line for 1-2 removed blocks. During field handling fresh air flow may be delivered along excavations of one section, and output flow may be taken away along excavations of another section. During removal of blocks in a section, along excavations of which output flow is taken away, into excavations, from which blocks removal is performed, fresh air may be additionally delivered by means of local aeration ventilators. EFFECT: increased effectiveness of coal layer removal with use of productive self-propelled removal and transfer equipment and anchor timbering. 3 cl, 4 dwg
