FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: device for reducing temperature gradients in belt-shoe brake contains units for reduction of temperature gradients, located in rim of collapsible brake pulley and brake belt with friction linings. Units are made in form of a system of heat-conducting cylinder rings, installed between them crosswise circular heat insulators with through holes made in them, through which they are worn on heat-conducting cylindrical pins, screws inserted into body of one of flanges of brake pulley. Second flange of brake pulley is attached to pins, and a system of rings, forming rim pulley. Method for reducing temperature gradients in belt-shoe brake consists in providing devices to reduce temperature gradients drain generated heat during braking combination of heat exchange to energy-consuming flanges of brake pulley.
EFFECT: higher durability of friction pairs of ribbon-block brake due to reduced temperature gradients in their elements by targeted conductive cooling.
