FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment and aims at the drug delivery. A device for the delivery of a pre-set amount of a drug comprises a body, a drug cartridge, which should be delivered, a threaded piston rod, a manually-operated screw-down device, a spring-actuated unit, the first drive and the second drive for the conversion of a substantially linear motion of the above screw-down device into a rotational motion of the above piston rod, and a movable element for block release. The body has an outer casing and an inner casing. The body has a proximal end and an opposite distal end. The drug cartridge is integrated in the above inner casing with the cartridge comprising a drug delivery port and a stop piece able to move inside the above cartridge. The threaded piston rod is configured to move inside the above body longitudinally and contact the above movable stop piece. The manually-operated screw-down device is movable longitudinally, and is able to advance the above piston rod during the operation towards the movable stop piece, thereby delivering the drug through the above port. The spring-actuated unit aims at displacing the above screw-down device towards the distal end of the device. The unit for the conversion of the linear motion of the above screw-down device into a rotational motion comprises the first set of the projecting structures arranged on the above first drive, and actuated together with the set of the angled projections arranged on the above second drive blocked from rotation towards the piston rod. The movable element for block release has a guide member configured to interact with a guide frame arranged on an outer circular surface of the manually-operated screw-down device. The guide frame is configured to prevent the following dose delivery before the pre-initiated dose has been delivered completely.
EFFECT: invention enables preventing the following dose delivery, before the pre-initiated dose has been delivered completely by the mechanically interacting structures arranged as a coupling mechanism between the blocked delivery button and the release element.
