SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video camera equipment. A camera to detect distances to a stage includes a source of light comprising VCSEL, controlled to illuminate the stage by a sequence of light pulses, having a characteristic spectrum, a photo surface, optics for display of light pulses of the light reflected by the stage on the photosurface and a gate made as capable of selective opening and closing of the photosurface for light in the spectrum with account of the shift error provided by difference of temperatures in the equipment.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increased spatial accuracy of location of image details.
