FIELD: projection technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to projection equipment. Laser device for projecting a structured light pattern onto a scene, said device being formed from several VCSEL arrays, each array arranged on a separate VCSEL chip and comprising an irregular distribution of emission areas of the semiconductor lasers. Irregular distribution of the emission areas deviates from a regular arrangement of the emission areas on the respective VCSEL chip by randomised shifts of the emission areas with respect to a reference position defined by the regular arrangement. Said shifts cover a distance of at least an active diameter of the semiconductor laser. Device also includes one or more optical devices that form an image of said arrays in the image forming space and superimposing the images of said arrays in the image forming space to form said light pattern.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling the increase of brightness and contrast of the light pattern.
