FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: strengthening method of blades of the vehicle work parts includes application to the strengthened blades of the paste containing powder PG-SR4 - 20-30%, silicone carbide - 50-55%, carbamide - 10-15% and aluminium powder with fineness 1.5-2.0 micron - the rest. Then thermodiffusion saturation by components of the above mentioned paste is performed due to its heating by the electric arc resulting in the metal-ceramic coating creation on the strengthened blades. After the thermodiffusion saturation the work parts are heated to 780…800°C. On average heating time is 1 min per 1 mm of its thickness, and holding time is 1/5 of heating time. Then hardening in the transformer oil, tempering with heating to 170…180°C and holding at this temperature for 5 min are performed.
EFFECT: increasing of impact toughness of the strengthened work parts on average by 2 times and wear resistance by 2,5 times, resulting to durability increasing of the treated work parts of the vehicles by at least 2 times.
