FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: gate valve includes a housing made of two parts with supply channels with a diameter d, between which a distance ring is rigidly fixed, in the inner cavity of which a flat damper is arranged with a possibility of being turned about the axis, with a through hole with the diameter d and fixed on a drive shaft aligned with the damper rotation axis, which interacts with its end surfaces with support surfaces of the housing through sealing rings around supply channels. The damper has an outline formed by arcs of two contacting circles with diameter D=d+2b (where b - size of a sealing belt), the centres of which lie on tcircle arc, with a central angle φ from the damper rotation axis, as well as internal and external tangential arcs to them with a centre on the damper rotation axis and the central angle φ; besides, the inner cavity restricting the damper movement between Open and Closed positions has a profile shaped with the damper outline with the central angle equal to 2φ.
EFFECT: reduction of metal consumption and weight of the structure.
