SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an article made of laminated polymer foam and a method of making same. The article made of polymer foam comprises at least two thermoplastic polymer foams in a layered orientation. Each of the thermoplastic polymer foams comprises: an adjoining surface having a polymer external layer, a thickness dimension perpendicular to the adjoining surface, perforations which are less than one millimetre in diameter, which pass through the adjoining surface to a depth less than the thickness dimension of the foam. The adjoining surface of one thermoplastic polymer foam is adjacent and bonded to the adjoining surface of another thermoplastic polymer foam, thereby affixing the thermoplastic polymer foams to one another.
EFFECT: invention provides improved physical and mechanical properties of articles.
