SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control over gearboxes. The proposed method of a vehicle gearbox control comprises the application of a control system for the determination of the first initial gear ratio. Then the second initial gear ratio whereat the vehicle runs to stop is determined. Besides, it comprises setting the gearbox to the second initial gear ratio whereat it exceeds the first one defined by the control system. The control system for automatic gearbox control comprises means for the determination of the said first and second initial gear ratios and means for setting of the gearbox to the second initial gear ratio. Besides, the invention relates to a vehicle incorporating the above described system.
EFFECT: friendly control over the gearbox is achieved.
