FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to the machine building industry. A piston with bypass openings includes annular flanges for the creation of sealing connections from above to a plate of a bypass valve and from below to a plate of a rebound valve. The height of an internal flange of the lower end of the piston is reduced by a value providing connection and pressure to the flanges of the disk of the rebound valve, which faces with its concavity to the piston. An additional opening with the linear size of the section within 1 mm connects the bypass opening of the head end to the bypass opening of the rod end. The hydraulic shock absorber includes a cylinder inside a container, a rod and the above piston.
EFFECT: creation of the shock absorber with variable stiffness depending on the rod movement speed.
