FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods of obtaining casting composite materials based on aluminium and its alloys. Method of obtaining casting composite material containing matrix from aluminium or alloy based on it and disperse intermetallidic particles TiAl3, involves formation of intermetallidic particles TiAl3 in molten aluminium by introduction of crushed titanium sponge with fractions size of not more than 5 mm into the molten metal. Crushed titanium sponge is introduced into molten metal in such quantity, so that content of generated particles TiAl3 would not exceed 35 vol. %.
EFFECT: obtaining parts with increased high temperature strength, hardness and wear-resistance.
