FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to field of medicine. Device for capsulorexis contains resistive heating element, made of electrically resistive hyperelastic wire, which has first and second ends; insulating section, containing electrically insulating material, separating first and second ends of hyperelastic wire; and handle, coming into fixed engagement with, at least, part of placing section. Hyperelastic wire is made with possibility of including loop. First and second ends are adjacent and continue from loop for formation of placing section. Method of device application contains the following stages: positioning of one end of tubular lead-in cartridge inside or near anterior eye chamber, with tubular lead-in cartridge including resistive heating element,; application of handle, which comes into rigid engagement with placing section, bringing loop of resistive heating element from tubular lead-in cartridge into anterior eye chamber; positioning of brought out loop in contact with anterior capsule of eye crystalline lens and electric heating of resistive heating element to burn capsule of crystalline lens along brought out loop; and removal of loop of resistive heating element into tubular lead-in cartridge before extraction from eye.

EFFECT: application of claimed group of inventions will make it possible to reduce formation of radical ruptures and imperfections of edges in anterior capsule, as well as will make it possible to perform safe operations on eye capsule.
