FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, and namely to a hot blast adjustment valve of a blast furnace. The valve includes a metal body with a refractory lining, in which there is a gas duct, and a working element located so that it can be rotated in the gas duct to change its clear passage. The valve working element has a restricting surface with rotational symmetry relative to the rotation axis and a through hole made in the direction perpendicular to the rotation axis of the valve working element. The cross section of the through hole is identical to the cross section of the gas duct; besides, the through hole is located in the working element coaxially to the gas duct when the valve working element is in an open position.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves reliability and durability of valves.
