The method includes selecting two subsystems in which processes are observed in form of synchronised quasi-periodic signals x1(t) and x2(t), synchronously recording signals during a time T, constructing a phase portrait of the analysed dynamic system on the interval T in coordinates x1(t)-x2(t), determining a closed curve delineating the portrait, determining Fourier descriptors of the closed curve, classifying the system using a trained classifier constructed in the space of Fourier descriptors.
