FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises the pre-change of physico-chemical properties of a surface layer of a detail and its processing with an abrasive tool with the cutting depth exceeding the width of the pre-changed surface layer. The physico-chemical properties of the surface layer of the detail are changed by polarisation in electrolyte medium with initiation of electrical discharges on the detail surface at the source voltage above 300 V.
EFFECT: increase of processing productivity.
