FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: middle part (2.1) of a replaced rail bar (2) is unfixed and moved with the help of lifting cranes (4) transversely to a railway track. The middle part (1.1) of the new lengthy bar (1) is installed onto free rail pads. Then mutually replaceable movements of rail bar sections are carried out in directions from the middle part to the ends.
EFFECT: making it possible to employ heavy equipment per single working cycle for efficient mutual replacement of worn parts for new ones.
