METHOD OF LOADING LENGTHY ARTICLES ONTO RAILWAY ROLLING STOCK Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: railway loading equipment. SUBSTANCE: method relates to loading rail sections onto railway rolling stock. Prior to attaching slings, at least two lengthy articles are rigidly secured together, then slings are rigidly fastened at points corresponding to maximal outreach of lifting facility boom, secured articles are lifted to maximal possible height which is not lower than level of loading lengthy articles to rolling stock with simultaneous movement of rolling stock under lifted articles. Load bogies of lifting facility together with raised articles are moved in reverse direction until one of load bogies reaches its extreme position. Then placed on rails between lifting facility and start of vertical curvature of lengthy articles with possibility for longitudinal displacement is movable support with fixing rollers, and installed on roller support of rolling stock platform is horizontal frame which is of multiple pivots in horizontal plane and is movable along rolling stock. Raised parts of lengthy articles are simultaneously lowered onto movable support and horizontal frame, ends of articles are freed from rigid lateral links applied prior to slinging, and rigidly connected together are horizontal frame and parts of lengthy articles carried by this frame which are located at distance equal to spacing between rows of roller supports of rolling stock. Movable support and articles located on it are connected together. Then movable support under lengthy articles with fixing rollers is moved simultaneously with rolling stock with retention of equal distance between them. Before pulling articles up to locking device of rolling stock, disconnected from each other are horizontal frame and parts of lengthy articles positioned on aforesaid frame. Horizontal frame is pulled out beyond limits of lengthy articles and is returned to place of new mounting. EFFECT: high efficiency. 5 dwg
