FIELD: railway construction and maintenance equipment. SUBSTANCE: this relates to unloading of rail track sections from rolling stock primarily on leg of route. According to method, spacing liners are placed on site of unloading lengthy articles, also fasteners and safety shoes are installed. Head ends of lengthy articles are connected to ends of unloading ropes. Tail ends of lengthy articles are disconnected from transportation fastening. Rolling stock unit is moved away from under lengthy articles. Articles are fastened to liners. Unloading ropes are disconnected and carried to new unloading sites. Safety shoes are placed at end of rolling stock unit. Cantilever crane is positioned and braked together with weighting block. Free ends of unloading ropes are attached to weighting block. Prior to moving rolling stock unit from under articles, their head ends are lifted by crane and held for slackening of unloading ropes. Head ends of lengthy articles are lowered on base and fastened to liners. Cantilever crane is unbroken and moved to tail ends of lengthy articles. When length of not unloaded parts of articles is equal to outreach of cantilever crane, these parts are lifted by crane and held in this position until rolling stock unit is completely moved away from under lengthy articles. Then article is smoothly lowered to base and fastened to liners. EFFECT: high efficiency. 8 dwg
