APPARATUS FOR SEPARATING VOLATILE COMPONENTS FROM SOLID PARTICLES (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC C08F6/10 B01J8/18

Abstract RU 2540651 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: according to the first version, the apparatus for separating volatile hydrocarbons from solid polymer particles comprises a separator having an inner volume and an inner wall angle of the separator in the form of a truncated cone ranging from 50° to 80° relative to its base, and an outlet for fluid medium, an outlet for solid particles, an inlet for solid particles and an inlet for fluid medium, located on the separator and linked downstream to the inner volume. The inlet for solid particles is located on the side of the first end of the separator and the inlet for fluid medium is located on the side of the second end of the separator. The inlet for fluid medium comprises one opening which passes through the side wall of the separator and an inner volume primarily free of any gas-directing structures between said opening and the upper part of the layer of solid particles in the inner volume. According to the second version, the apparatus for separating volatile hydrocarbons from solid polymer particles comprises a separator, having an inner volume, an outlet for fluid medium, an outlet for solid particles, an inlet for solid particles and an inlet for fluid medium, linked downstream to the inner volume. The inlet for solid particles is located on the side of the first end of the separator and the inlet for fluid medium is located on the side of the second end of the separator. The apparatus comprises an inlet cone for fluid medium placed in the inner volume and located on the side of the second end of the separator, wherein the base of the cone faces the second end of the separator, and the inlet cone for fluid medium is fastened by one or more fastening elements which pass from the inner wall of the cone to the separator, such that an annular gap free of any structures forms between the base of the cone and the separator, wherein the inlet for fluid medium is linked downstream by a channel to the inner volume of the inlet cone for fluid medium.

EFFECT: high efficiency of separating volatile hydrocarbons from solid polymer particles.
