DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR ANAEMIC SYNDROME IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC G01N33/53 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to haematology, to laboratory diagnostics, and can be used for diagnosing anaemic syndrome of childhood. Substance of the method: a blood analyser is used to determine blood count values and red blood indices, such as haemoglobin (HB), mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC), and blood serum is analysed for hepcidin, IL-6, ferritin and transferrin. The measured values are compared to the reference ranges, and if the values: haemoglobin ≤ 114 g/l, MCHC ≤ 302 g/l, ferritin ≥ 45 ng/ml; transferrin ≤ 250 mg/dl; IL-6 ≥ 11 pg/ml; hepcidin ≥ 120 ng/ml, the anaemic syndrome with underlying inflammatory changes accompanying an acute or chronic disease is stated.

EFFECT: using the invention enables the adequate assessment of the inflammatory response in the chronic and acute inflammatory diseases.
