METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING ANEMIC SYNDROME ASSOCIATED WITH ORAL EXPOSURE TO MANGANESE AND CHLOROFORM FROM DRINKING WATER IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B5/00 G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2654774 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to hematology and toxicology, and can be used to diagnose anemic syndrome in children associated with oral exposure to manganese and chloroform from drinking water. Concentration of manganese and chloroform is determined in the blood sample. When it is 2 or more times higher than the background one for manganese and the background one for chloroform, the functional and laboratory indices are determined. As the functional indicators determine: function of automatism of the sinus node of the myocardium; state of autonomic regulation; linear dimensions of the liver and spleen; parenchyma of the liver and pancreas; motility of the gallbladder with ultrasound (ultrasound). As laboratory indicators set: the levels of serum ferritin, hydroperoxide lipids, malonic dialdehyde (MDA), Glutathione peroxidase (GLPO), superoxide dismutase (Cu/Zn-COD) and antioxidant activity of blood serum (AOS); presence of specific IgE to manganese and specific IgG to chloroform. In presence of sinus bradycardia/tachycardia; in presence of a violation of vegetative regulation in the form of a vagotonic initial vegetative tone and asymptoticotonic reactivity; with an increase in comparison with the physiological norm of the linear dimensions of the liver and spleen, in presence of reactive changes in the parenchyma of the liver and pancreas and in presence of violations of gallbladder motility of the hyperkinetic type, accompanied by an increase in the amount of bile flow, as well as when exceeding the upper physiological standard of MDA level by more than 1.3 times and decreasing below the lower limit of the physiological norm of the GLPO level by more than 1.3 times; Cu/Zn-COD more than 1.2 times; AOC more than 1.7 times; with simultaneous presence of a serum ferritin level equal to 52.14 ± 5.92 ng/cm3, and a level of lipid hydroperoxide of 331.44 ± 19.33 mcmol/dm3, and also in presence of specific IgE to manganese and specific IgG to chloroform, the child is diagnosed with an anemic syndrome associated with exposure to manganese and chloroform.

EFFECT: method allows to conduct informatively and demonstratively diagnostics of the anemic syndrome in children caused by the combined effect of manganese and chloroform coming from drinking water, by evaluating the complex of the most significant indicators.
