FIELD: physics, video.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an image generation device, such as a CMOS image sensor, and a camera system. The result is achieved by the fact that the image generation device includes: a block of pixel matrix acting as a block of light reception, which includes devices of photoelectric conversion, and in which multiple pixels that release electric signals, when photons drop, are arranged in the form of a matrix; a block of a sensitive circuit, in which multiple sensitive circuits, which receive electric signals from pixels and perform binary detection in respect to the fact whether photons have or have not dropped onto pixels with the specified period of time, are arranged in the form of a matrix; and a block of a circuit of detection result integration, having a function of integration of multiple results of sensitive circuits detection for appropriate pixels or for each group of pixels, in which the block of detection result integration releases the number of fallen photons to the block of light reception, by means of photon count, for integration of multiple detection results in multiple pixels.

EFFECT: technical result is generation of images or measurement at lower intensity, with lower level of noise, even under low illumination and with wide dynamic range.
