Result is achieved by the fact that photoelectric conversion device includes a plurality of pixels, each of which includes a light receiving module, which outputs a pulse in response to photon drop, and a signal generating unit which outputs a signal based on the output from the light receiving module, and each of the plurality of pixels further includes a detection unit which detects, whether the width of the pulse output from the light receiving module is greater than a predetermined threshold value.

EFFECT: technical result is providing a photoelectric conversion device with photon counting, having improved photoelectric conversion function at high brightness, which provides high accuracy of distance information, which is information on parallax, value of defocusing, distance to object.
