SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. A plurality of wireless communication devices, each transmitting an acknowledgement of the same wide-band channel transmission transmit their acknowledgements simultaneously over different narrow-band channels that make up the wide-band channel, thereby allowing older devices that cannot decode wide-band channel signals to determine when the acknowledgement is transmitted.
EFFECT: high overall throughput of the communication network.
