SUBSTANCE: instrument refers to instruments for cross-clamping, closure and ablation of a tissue or vessels in the patient's body. The instrument comprises an elongated rod extended from the body, a first branch with an electrode, a second branch movable to and from the first electrode; the second branch has a long slot, a knife movable along the rod and extending or movable in the long slot. The knife is connected to a mechanism for the vertical adjustment of the knife perpendicular to the long movement depending on the long movement of the above knife; the mechanism for the vertical adjustment is connected to a camming surface stationary mounted in relation to the rod, and to a surface of a cam follower stationary mounted in relation to the rod; the camming surface and the surface of the cam follower are surfaces inclined to an advance direction. The adjustment mechanism specified an adjustment path, which exceeds a height of a projection formed at one stump of the electrode.

EFFECT: using invention enables providing the damage protection of the cutting edges of the instrument.
