FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an electronic device for monitoring of the state of parts of a rail vehicle, as well as to a rail vehicle containing the above device. According to the monitoring method of the state of parts (1) of the rail vehicle, sensors (2a-2c) for recording of loads acting on parts (1) are used. Measured load values as input values are supplied to processing unit (6) for analysis of the wear state of parts (1), for that purpose, current location of a rail vehicle is determined by signal processing, and actual speed (v) of the rail vehicle is recorded as to time (t), on the basis of which v-t-profile (a) is created. The above profile is compared to v-t-profile stored in the memory so that it can be possible to determine current location as an additional input value for state monitoring due to stochastic comparison of both profiles (a, b).

EFFECT: simple and reliable obtainment of location data.
