SUBSTANCE: technical solution relates to the means of automated on-board control of a rail vehicle. The system (20, 30) contains an on-board unit (22) for determining the setpoint values, an automated train operating system (11), a movement and braking unit (3) and additional sensors for recording information about the surrounding space. The on-board unit (22) for determining the setpoints of the set values is made with the possibility, based on the on-board position determination and data (KD) of the map, as well as data from additional sensors, to determine the operating setpoints of the set values for the control mode and the current task of the movement of the rail vehicle. The system (11) is made with the possibility, based on the setpoints (SWV) of the given values of the on-board unit (22) of determining the setpoints of the given values, to form commands (SW) for movement and braking. The movement and braking unit (3) is designed with the ability to perform traction and braking actions based on the received movement and braking commands (SW).

EFFECT: increase in the safety of the movement of a rail vehicle is achieved.
