FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: spinal traction device comprises a fixture accommodating a lying user and reciprocating on an elongated base frame, which comprises a user's hold unit and swinging in a vertical plane when the fixture with the user moves therealong. The fixture comprises an inner cavity with at least one body movable inside the fixture when it swings. A method for using the spinal traction device involving spinal traction in the lying user with using the device according to cl.1.
EFFECT: inventions enables increasing spinal traction force, applying the device by the users small in stature, providing the more comfortable use of the device related to a smaller swinging angle in relation of the horizontal plane, and creating the more reliable starting position of the device.
