FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method includes degreasing, first washing, etching, second washing, chemical nickel precipitation, third washing and drying, with etching being carried out in water solution, which contains 20-35 wt % of hydrofluoric acid and 10-35 g/l of ammonium fluoride, for 15-30 s, at temperature of solution from 10 to 40°C. Chemical nickel precipitation can be carried out at temperature from 55 to 70°C. Solution for chemical nickelising of the surface of metal-matrix compositional material of aluminium-carbide-silicon contains, g/l: nickel chloride 6-aqueous or nickel sulphate 7-aqueous 10-20, citric acid 10-50, lactic acid 5-50, ammonium chloride 15-35, ammonium fluoride 2-25, sodium hypophosphite 1-aqueous 10-45, water ammonia in quantity, which provides solution pH 7.0÷8.0, and water.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain continuous and uniform nickel coating without realising stages of sensitisation and activation of the surface to be processed, increased stability of chemical nickelising solution in the process of work and storage.
